Georgia was born in London in the nineteensixties and now lives in Edinburgh.

She originally studied History of Art and Design and worked as a Lecturer in Art History and Contextual Studies. In 1993 she trained in theatre design on the Motley Theatre Design Course in London with Percy Harris, Alison Chitty and Ashley Martin Davis.

After a successful 18 year career as a theatre designer she trained as a midwife at Napier University Edinburgh and is proud to have been working as a midwife and in the Family Nurse Partnership for NHS Scotland since then, fitting some shows in here and there. Both occupations meet her need for creativity, curiosity and collaboration and her commitment to voices being heard.

In 2022 she returned to theatre design full time whilst she continues to maintain her midwifery practice.

Georgia also makes textile work.
